WHAT’S IT LIKE TO DRIVE
The little GT6’S undercarriage sits just above the road surface, so the 0-60mph sprint feels much faster than the 10 seconds it actually takes. And it’s all done with the satisfyingly breathy notes of that straight six up front and view down over that gorgeous bonnet bulge; I’m glad John’s ditched the twin Sports exhaust, as it’s a tight cabin with minimal sound deadening and over long distances it’d be muchos tiring. The rack and pinion steering is sharp and the subtle upgrades – including Gaz adjustable shock absorbers and EBC Green Stuff brake pads – tighten the handling, and stopping, up nicely. Gearshifts do require a bit of work to get the best out of the unit, but it’s never to the detriment of the overall experience.
