The new P5 Rover commanded traditional Rover

P5 is announced, powered by a 3.0-litre straight six engine and fitted with drum brakes all round. The MKIA gets quarterlights and stainless wheel trims. The MKIIA brings a Weslake-designed cylinder head giving 121bhp, lower suspension and a shorter gearstick. The Coupé is introduced. The MKIIB goes on sale.
