BMW 328i

The classic signs were there: too much dreaming about cars on holiday, too much time browsing internet auction sites. I’ve loved my time with Trigger the BMW 323i Coupé, which got me hooked on BMW’S mid-nineties E36 range... but what I really wanted was a 328i. Its extra 300cc and 25bhp delivers more torque at lower rpm, making it rapid

relaxed – a mix that really appeals to this particular petrolhead.

Eventually a 328i Coupé popped up at a fair price, 57,000 miles from new, service history and a long list of factory options. A quick phone call established that owner Peter Sorrell had clearly cherished his ‘weekend car’, so I hopped to his Barnsley home. The car turned out to be near-mint and I drove it home with the widest smile! Unfortunately, my 323i coupé now needs a new owner. Fully fettled, looking smart and with just over 100,000 miles on the clock, it’s going to be a great Nineties classic for someone. If you’re interested, please get in touch.
