Beni Kumonryu

Practical Fishkeeping (UK) - - Step By Step -

This weird and wonderful variety comes in all sorts of variations, and visually they are very striking. The more traditional examples are when just beni and sumi are present on the body, whereas the more modern type is three-coloured with beni, sumi and shiroji.

One thing with this variety is that they can change considerably, depending on water hardness, temperature and age. The sumi can be a little unstable but this adds to the fun of owning one of these unusual Koi.
