Reyn­is­f­jara beach

I shot this im­age at the top of the cliffs above Reyn­is­f­jara beach in south­ern Ice­land, as part of an on­go­ing per­sonal self-por­trait se­ries. I wanted to cap­ture some­thing de­pict­ing the in­sane feel­ing of free­dom I felt stand­ing up there. I nor­mally use a tri­pod to set up for these self-por­traits, but with the wind so strong I ended up us­ing a good friend to step in as a tri­pod for me. I set my fo­cal length to 16mm be­cause I wanted to cap­ture as much of the beau­ti­ful scene as pos­si­ble.
