It’s good practice to turn on your camera’s Live View grid display, especially if you shoot landscapes. This will help you to compose according to the rule-of-thirds. Most cameras have 3x3 or 6x6 grids for this very reason although, bizarrely, Nikons have a 4x4 grid. On some cameras, you can also activate a grid overlay for image review to check image composition after capture.
