D3500 hits back

Practical Photography (UK) - - The Knowledge -

Nikon has announced its new entry-level DSLR, the D3500, and it’s received a full redesign. Internally, it’s very similar to the D3400. It shares the 24.2MP APS-C sensor, 5fps continuous shooting speed and 1080p Full HD video at 60fps. There’s also an 11-point AF system, 100-25,600 ISO range and fixed 3in 921k-dot screen.

The real changes are all external. The D3500 is smaller and lighter than the D3400, though retains a solid grip. Nikon has also moved the rear buttons, switching them from the left to right-hand side, designed to aid onehanded shooting while retaining easy-to-use ergonomics.
