DJI launches a Hasselblad
Aerial impresario DJI has updated its popular groundbreaking Mavic Pro drone with a brace of new options. Coming in at £1299, the Mavic 2 Pro is a compact, folding drone that boasts a Hasselblad L1D-20c camera. It packs a 20MP 1in sensor, f/2.8-f/11 adjustable aperture and amazing 10-bit 4K video.
The Mavic 2 Zoom, which costs £1099, pairs a 1/2.3in 12.1MP sensor with a 24-85mm optical zoom lens. This gives you a huge level of versatility when composing your shots. It also adds in a new QuickShot called Dolly Zoom, which recreates the classic cinematic technique for a visual warping effect.
Beyond the different cameras, both drones are identical. They offer the more advanced ActiveTrack 2.0 for 3D object tracking, a new Hyperlapse mode and increased 31-minute flight time. The Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing system is found on every side of the drone, allowing for more reactive avoidance, and the maximum speed can hit a blistering 45mph. dji.com
