1999 Honda CBR900RR-X
Perhaps collectible now by virtue of the fact that is was the last of the carburated ’Blades, Honda’s flagship was being roundly beaten by the Yamaha YZF-R1 in the battle for litre bike supremacy. In styling terms the CBR900RR was quite aesthetically challenged in these colourways too. This one has had battles of its own, being a Cat C write-off.
Gary says: Not so long ago you would have run a mile from a Cat C, never mind pay over a grand for one. However as the prices of early 1990s ’Blades continue on their upward trajectory, the ones from the end of the decade are following in their wake. There’s not a lot to do here and once it’s sorted someone will have a serious sportsbike for sensible cash.
