Cool for ‘cats

Practical Sportsbikes (UK) - - What’s The Problem? - Keith Ingle,

So, back on a bike after a couple of years’ absence. Any tips for common modifications or improvements for Yamaha Thundercats?

Saul Towers says: The Thundercat is a wonderful sports-tourer and worth enjoying for what it is. That said the rear shock isn’t all that so I’d recommend a Nitron, or similar, in there. The forks are fully adjustable and if you can’t find a setting you like in there then of course there is the option of revalving and new springs from someone like MCT. However go too sporty and you’ll lose the appealing soft, comfortable character of the bike.

Top ’cat – enjoy it for what it is
