1991 The worst one...

“I’d told the magistrate when I was in court over speeding on my GPZ900R that I’d sold it because it was a bit scary. I bought this 1990 Harley-davidson 1200 Sportster instead. My mistake was trying to ride it like a Japanese bike and third gear exploded .”

1992 The best one...

“An MCN swap ad saw me trade my Harley 1200 Sportster for this 1990 Kawasaki ZXR750 and £300 my way. I met the bloke at a services and he left his girlfriend as collateral while he went for a test ride. This bike was way better than me.”

2000 The one that got away...

“My 1979 Kawasaki Z900 is the one I wish I still had, even if the cracked wheels gave me a bit of a fright at first. People complain about the handling of these but I didn’t think it was too bad at all. Maybe the brakes could have been better.”

2018 The current one...

“It’s taken a lot of work to get it up to this standard, however. One advantage of being a single parent is that you can use the oven to cure paint on barrels and the like. Although the kids complain that dinner tastes a bit funny the next day.”
