Welcome to the autumn issue of Pride Life magazine, and our annual review of some of the hottest (and coolest) holiday destinations you might not have considered before, as well as a return to some old favourites, and a reminder of some crucial dates for your 2014 travel plans. We also head up north to review two of the UK’s most exciting gay arts festivals, as well as wondering just why more and more LGBT characters are appearing in the pages of comic books as well in the latest episodes of your favourite soaps. On a more serious note we take a look at one artist’s response to homophobia, examine Russia’s record on LGBT rights, while back home football clubs Everton and West Ham tell us what they’re doing to kick homophobia out of the beautiful game. And now that the first gay marriages will be taking place next year in England and Wales (and about time too), we ask whether monogamy is really all it’s made out to be, and our cover girl, the marvellous Alison Moyet, lets us know why gay marriage is really a no-brainer.
And don’t forget that if your favourite venue has run out of copies of Pride Life, then you can always find a copy in selected newsagents up and down the country. We’re now also available from the App store as a fantastic new digital version, featuring everything from the print magazine plus added audio and video content.
