COS­MO­NAUTS: BIRTH OF THE SPACE AGE Ma­jor ex­hi­bi­tion cel­e­brat­ing the history of Rus­sian space travel, from 1957 when it launched Sput­nik, the world’s first ar­ti­fi­cial satel­lite, and four years later sent the first man - Yuri Ga­garin - into space. Among the items on dis­play will be Vos­tok 6, the cap­sule flown by Valentina Tereshkova, the first ever woman in space, Voskhod 1, the first crewed space­craft, along­side gad­gets, and mem­o­ra­bilia from the first years of the Space Age.
