PROG OVERLOAD!

Prog - - News -

Another stimulating read with Prog 79 this month, which once again proves that there is so much prog out there that it is difficult for the average fan to keep up with it all. I’m not complaining, but prog as a genre takes in so many diverse influences, that inevitably some are loved more than others.

I’ve been listening to your Prog Magazine Show on Team Rock Radio which is hugely entertaining and enlightening and helps to narrow down the new artists and material for further consideration. For that I am very grateful, but I have to ask: why only one hour per week? If one genre of music deserves and perhaps necessitates more time, it’s prog!

Can I just add, Carl Palmer 2017’s Prog God Award is richly deserved, as anyone who saw him in his prime will testify! I remember seeing ELP at Wembley back in the 70s and being blown away by his sheer talent and technical ability. Prog’s greatest ever drummer? – probably!

Keep up the good work.

Jerry Clark
