Post-rock duo announce multimedia project for the autumn.

Nordic Giants are spreading positivity with the independent release of a short film and soundtrack on October 20. The mysterious masked duo, whose real identities are shrouded in mystery, say the aim of Amplify Human Vibration’s uplifting theme is to help “raise the collective consciousness of the planet”.

“This project is our small way of reminding people that there’s so much positivity in the world, despite the fear-led narrative often portrayed by the mainstream media,” say Rôka and Loki via email.“This film will follow some inspiring people and their unique journeys, from a Columbian photographer changing lives with just his camera to a female swimmer braving seven of the toughest seas.”

The seven-track release follows on from 2015’s A Séance Of Dark Delusions and 7 Depths Of Consciousness and unites the pair’s atmospheric sounds with guest vocals from long-term collaborator Freyja.

“This soundtrack is a blend of all our styles, sounds, dynamics and previous releases,” they say. “It has some louder tracks with big piano riffs and drums similar to the likes of Together or Evolve Or Perish, mixed with some quieter ambient tracks.”

Nordic Giants are touring the UK and Europe this autumn. For the full list of shows, see www.nordic NRS
