Prog - - Letters - Ian Rumens

I have to say that I’m really pleased that your magazine has found me two prog albums which are long in length and do not contain one bum song in them. I’ve probably spent a combined time of seven weeks listening to them, and never get bored hearing them again. The two albums? Your demo CDs! P54: One For The Vine [from Prog 76], and P57: Postcards [from Prog 79]. P57 actually seemed a bit ‘racy’ when I first heard it, but now I’m up to speed and the songs feed into each other seamlessly.

Will I take the plunge and buy any of the albums that the songs are taken from? Which is, after all, the point of the demos. It certainly looks like it might be a way forward. Regardless, it’s been a surprising pleasure.
