A spray of purple petals to uplift and inspire creativity

Project Calm - - Contents -

“We wanted to create a high impact and iconic set piece within the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show – something that will look great from a distance or in close proximity. Verbena is a summer favourite and features heavily in people’s gardens. From the Verbenaceae family, it’s usually 5-petalled, with salver-shaped flowers, typically held in spikes or panicles. In short, Verbena is elegant, low maintenance and longlasting, as well as an absolute magnet for pollinating insects.

“Interestingly the colour purple affects us physically by uplifting, calming the mind and nerves, while offering a sense of spirituality and encouraging creativity. Visitors will be able to walk through the plants and feel immersed within them, creating a calm and regenerative environment in the showground. There will be plenty of opportunity to snap pics, selfies and videos against the backdrop for Instagram and other social media streams linking with the many other visitors who have enjoyed the meadow of Verbena.”
