PRAIRIE SUN

Pure sunshine from the fields of North America

Project Calm - - Contents -

“We wanted to introduce a ray of sunshine into the Tatton Park Show with a real wow factor! RHS Tatton Park is smack in the middle of summer and we wanted to put a big smile on everyone’s faces. Rudbeckia hirta, also known as ‘Prairie Sun’ and ‘Black-eyed Susan’ is such a summery bold flower that it was a natural choice for July. As yellow is known to evoke feelings of happiness and energy, we hope our field of sunshine will create an uplifting ambiance in a celebration of summer.

“Visitors will be able to walk through a giant flower-shaped field that will not only provide a lovely photo moment but also a place to wander and enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by colour and an abundance of nature.”

Isobel Coulter, Show Manager of RHS Flower Show Tatton Park (18-22 July)
