MOTHER LOVE BONE

Q (UK) - - Review | Reissues -

ON EARTH AS IT IS: THE COMPLETE WORKS UMC, OUT NOW Seattle rockers whose lifespan was cut tragically short.

Led by exuberant frontman Andrew Wood, Mother Love Bone featured future members of Pearl Jam and combined heavy rock riffs with a glammy, glittery swagger. Their world was spun from its axis when Wood died from an overdose days before the release of their debut album. This compilation of that album, Apple, plus preceding EP Shine, show what all the fuss was about – Chloe Dancer/Crown Of Thorns is all the proof you need that Wood would’ve been a star.
