Best Live Act
FROM THE WINNER’S PODIUM:
Edge: “I’ve been doing shows with this man [ Adam] for 40 years now. And one of these days I swear we’ll get it right. So there I was a couple of nights back, out on the terrace, glass of rosé in my hand, beautiful ocean in front of me, and this Bob Dylan lyric came into my head. It’s from Idiot Wind, ‘When you reach the top, you realise that you’re really at the bottom’. I thought, ‘That is such bollocks.’ I love it! I know how lucky I am, we don’t take it for granted in our band, we really try to make sure every show is a great show, and we’re grateful to anyone who has ever bought a ticket or an album. Thank you.” Adam Clayton: “I just wanted to add it was an amazing tour, an emotional roller-coaster due to the events in Paris last November, and it was great to be able to perform with Eagles Of Death Metal onstage before the end of the year.” (Above) U2’s Edge and Adam Clayton.
