Q (UK) - - The Maccabees -

“We’ve known each other from the beginnings of our careers. People have grown up with them. They loved them for things like second single] Latchmere, but as you grow up with a band you love them for all different things. During the show I was struck by how much of the set was the slower and more tender side that people really love. To see that and realise that people loved them for every album was a really positive thing. It takes a certain level of class to come up with the back catalogue The Maccabees have and to do it with such finesse. It was a joyous, positive thing to be onstage with them. When you’re watching a show like that you’re very aware that it’s the last show and it was really nice to see the amount of love that was coming towards the band and seeing the band react with that and having such a good time.”
