Stamp in colour

Quick Cards Magazine - - Fixes -

I am new to card making and have been sent a few rubber stamps by my auntie, some of which I would like to colour. What can I use? I can’t afford anything very expensive, though. Sue Park, Wigan

Kitty: There are so many different mediums you can use to colour stamped images. There are alcohol markers, pens (the Faber Castell Indian Ink pens below are available from www. hobbycraft.co.uk) paints, inks, pencils and so much more. Alcohol markers are great to use; however, they are quite expensive when you first start out. I would recommend getting a pack of watercolour paints or pencils to build up colour and create shadow effects. You can pick these up from most art shops and discount stores like The Works. If you enjoy it you can give some other mediums a try.

There’s a wide range of colouring pens, pencils and inks to suit every budget
