The Crafty Queen
Our celebrity crafter Stephanie Weightman reveals how her cards spread some wintry magic!
Well, winter is already well and truly on its way. The mornings are soon to become frosty and the evenings are darkening, so it’s time to tuck ourselves away at home and craft ourselves silly for the chilly season. I find I tend to do more fabric crafting in the winter as there is something warming about doing a little quilting or knitting, but invariably my thoughts very quickly return to paper crafting!
It’s always important to remember that winter crafting isn’t just about Christmas! There are winter birthdays and weddings to name a couple of occasions that I love to make things for. I know that everyone with a winter birthday truly does appreciate a handmade card, as it shows that you care enough to break off from your festive preparations to spend time making them something they will treasure for a long time.
Speaking of which, have you seen our Fantasy Christmas collection? We designed this set with winter weddings and birthdays in mind, as well as Christmas. The designs are perfect for icy, frosty colour schemes and can also be used for Christmas too. This makes them the perfect collection to add to your stash if you have lots of winter occasions coming up – I know I do!
So, if you need a little inspiration this winter, I’d suggest making yourself a hot chocolate, snuggling under a comfy blanket and having a look at my card making tips on the right for every occasion this season.
