Scandi blessings

I love the Scandi look for Christmas but I’ve never given it a go. Where should I start? Anne Cooke, Belfast

Becky: Scandi style has been a popular trend in recent years, with its bold bright colours matched with white, simple stylised shapes and naïve patterns. I designed this card which encompasses all of these using the latest Simply Creative 12x12 ‘Jolly Christmas’ paper pack. I used the red polka dot paper for the backdrop of the card. After adding blue and white borders towards the base, cut nesting triangles (I used a nesting bunting die to keep this simple) to represent Christmas trees and arrange these above the border. I then decorated the trees with punched flowers and yellow adhesive gems. I finished the card with a blue fishtail panel in the top left and completed the design with a kraft card greeting and simple glittered stars.

Add a Scandi twist with kraft card and simple patterned papers
