My daughter has started showing an interest in card making, and would like to make her own Christmas cards. Can you think of an easy design to get her started? Vicky Sanderson, Bury St Edmunds

Dorothy: How about trying ‘pizza printing’? As I’m sure your daughter is itching to use some of your equipment this is the perfect technique! Cut the Styrofoam pizza base in half and then one side in half again. Draw the tree on one quarter with a pencil, poking holes for baubles. Paint the tree print and then lay white card on top – rub over with your hand. Leave to dry and cut out. On the second quarter write letters backwards. Print with red ink and cut out. Turn the half pizza base over and brayer with blue paint, printing directly onto the front of the card. Stick the tree in place and add the sentiment with foam pads. The print bases can be used several times so your daughter could make lots for family and friends. Join in and get that production line going!
