Neon Noël

Quick Cards Magazine - - Quick Fixes -

I’m hoping to go for a funky neon theme for my Christmas cards this year. What sort of products could I use to achieve the look? Sophie Hawes, Preston

Becky: Neon colours are really popular for festive makes this year. First, stick to a palette of two or three colours. You should also consider the effect you want to achieve. To make the colours really stand out, team with dark backgrounds – black will give the ultimate pop. For a softer touch, use a white background. I think it’s best to keep the design simple – try triangles for trees, circles for baubles as well as stars and snowflakes. Use a bold simple font for your words and sentiments, such as the XCut Wedding Alphabet and Numbers A5 die set ( www.therange.

co.uk), which you can use on your cards all year round.

Bold lettering gives a sharp finish to your neon cards
