Watching the pennies with baker’s twine
1 Jingle bells Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of red cardstock and heat emboss in gold. Wrap twine around the bottom three times. Layer onto white card and a green scalloped square. Thread two gold bells onto twine, tie around the three lengths and tie into a bow.
2 The joy of Christmas Cut two triangles from white card, one slightly larger than the other, and wrap with baker’s twine. Add punched stars to the top and decorate with gems. Add to the card front and finish with a stamped sentiment.
3 So sweet… Cover a die-cut circle with double-sided tape. Spiral baker’s twine onto the circle, starting at the middle until covered. Stick onto a paper straw and add a baker’s twine bow, to finish.
4 Merry & bright Wrap five lengths of baker’s twine around a piece of green card and secure on the reverse. Attach white punched snowflakes along the twine with a sentiment tag. Add red gems to each snowflake.
5 Oh Christmas tree! Draw a triangle onto the reverse of a square of white card with the point at the top. Punch small holes along the diagonal lines at each side at 1.5cm intervals, then thread baker’s twine across the holes, as shown, securing on the reverse. Add a base, sentiment and adhesive gems, to finish.
6 Bauble trio Attach lengths of baker’s twinet to the top of a square of card. Fold over the edge and secure. Cut circles from coloured card and add smaller scalloped circles on top,t followed by a star and snowflake. Add a rectangler of card to the top of each to create a bauble, then add to the twine with foam pads. Add a bow, to finish.
7 Festive wreath Emboss a white scalloped square with a swirl folder and layer onto green card. Cut a circle frame from white card and wrap with twine. Attach to the base. Stamp and heat emboss a sentiment and add to the middle.
8 Jolly holly Die cut two holly sprig apertures from a piece of red cardstock. Stamp Merry Christmas onto the centre and heat emboss withcgold embossing powder. Add baker’ss twine to the reverse of the holly apertures to cover the openings. Layeraonto white card, then onto a green scalloped square. Add red adhesive gems for holly berries.
