WE’VE FOUND A really fun way to set the perfect Christmas scene with these genius U-fold designs. With a cleverly positioned panel set back from the front of the card, you can create cool 3D effects that are ideal for showing off scenery or landscapes. And, as impressive as they look, these cards are actually really easy to make with a bit of precision scoring and folding. Plain A4 card Pencil Ruler Bone folder Scoring tool Scoring board (optional) From your local craft shop
2 Fold the scored lines in the following pattern: mountain fold, valley fold, valley fold, mountain fold. This will create the ‘U’ folded section of the card.
3 Cut a 20x3.5cm strip of card. Stick across the bottom of the base card, attaching it to the side panels. Make sure it lines up neatly with the bottom edge of the base card.
1 Cut your piece of cardstock to 28x13.5cm. Mark along both long edges at 5cm, 9cm, 19cm and 23cm. Score down the card at each of these points.
