WE’VE FOUND A re­ally fun way to set the per­fect Christ­mas scene with these ge­nius U-fold de­signs. With a clev­erly po­si­tioned panel set back from the front of the card, you can cre­ate cool 3D ef­fects that are ideal for show­ing off scenery or land­scapes. And, as im­pres­sive as they look, these cards are ac­tu­ally re­ally easy to make with a bit of pre­ci­sion scor­ing and fold­ing. You can then go to town dec­o­rat­ing them in all sorts of fun and fes­tive ways. Fold the scored lines in the fol­low­ing pat­tern: moun­tain fold, val­ley fold, val­ley fold, moun­tain fold. This will cre­ate the ‘U’ folded sec­tion of the card.

Cut a 20x3.5cm strip of card. Stick across the bot­tom of the base card, at­tach­ing it to the side pan­els. Make sure it lines up neatly with the bot­tom edge of the base card.

Cut your piece of card­stock to 28x13.5cm. Mark along both long edges at 5cm, 9cm, 19cm and 23cm. Score down the card at each of these points.
