Foiled finesse

Quick Cards Magazine - - Quick Fixes -

I’ve seen lots of foil transfer cards recently and would like to have a go at the technique myself. Where’s the best place to start? Joanne Weldon, Norfolk

Anne: Foiling really adds a wow factor to your cards, Joanne. Crafter’s Companion has a large range of transfers and foils which are easy to use and you don’t even need a machine. Simply apply the design onto your card and then rub the foil over the top, keeping the shiny side up. The foil sticks to the adhesive and when you pull it away it leaves a foiled pattern behind. There are lots of designs to choose from such as snowflakes, butterflies, flowers and the packs of transfers include an application tool. You can view the huge range of foil rolls at www.crafterscompanion.co.uk.
