Hymek ‘first’ for Mid-Norfolk Railway’s diesel gala
The first ever visit of a Hymek to the Mid-Norfolk Railway will take place on September 9-11, during the railway’s diesel gala.
D7017 will travel from the West Somerset Railway. Owned by the Diesel & Electric Preservation Group, it will be the first Class 35 to attend the MNR and the first hydraulic to operate at the line. D1015 Western Champion attended the April 2014 event, but was not used.

More visiting locomotives are expected to attend the event, which will also feature home locomotives 47367 and 47596 Aldeburgh Festival. Other residents 37003, 50019 Ramilies and 73210 are all undergoing repairs.
Harry Needle Railroad Company 20069 and 31235 remain at the MNR but are not serviceable.
