EMU test­ing to Did­cot be­gins

Be­low: Great Western Rail­way Elec­trostars have started run­ning to Did­cot Park­way on train­ing du­ties. The elec­tric mul­ti­ple units are based at Read­ing, and are used by GWR on pas­sen­ger trains be­tween Lon­don Padding­ton and Hayes & Har­ling­ton. This will ex­tend to Maiden­head in May, and is ex­pected to ex­tend fur­ther west as Network Rail en­er­gises the over­head line equip­ment. On Above: Great Western Rail­way Elec­trostars are un­able to move from their Read­ing de­pot east­wards due to the lack of over­head wires from the Berk­shire town.
