Eversholt wins fundraising award

Eversholt Rail and Back Up won the ‘Best Scheme to Encourage Staff Fundraising’ category at the Better Society Awards Gala on May 11.

Staff at the rolling stock company have raised more than £42,000 in 18 months, beating their initial target of £25,000.

The Back Up Trust helps people adjust to life-changing spinal cord injuries, providing wheelchair skills training, mentoring, support returning to work or school, and activity courses.

Fundraising activities organised by Eversholt Rail staff included dragon boat racing, cake sales and quiz nights, and football sweepstakes.
