Mail Rail attraction delayed to September

-

Opening of the Mail Rail portion of the new Postal Museum in Phoenix Place, London, has been delayed until September 4.

The new ride and historical attraction was due to open on July 28 (when the rest of the new museum is set to open), but spokesman Matt de Leon told RAIL that there are “still some snagging works that need to happen at Mail Rail. As a 100-year-old miniature railway deep under London, all the systems that have been installed are bespoke and require specialist set-up that has taken slightly longer than we’d hoped for.”

The original opening date was announced in June, when it was expected that the whole site would open together ahead of the start of school summer holidays.

Tickets are now on sale for The Postal Museum for July 28-September 3 at £11 for an adult (up to four children are included in the price). Tickets are also available for bookings from September 4 onwards for the combined Postal Museum and Mail Rail experience at £16 per adult and £8 per child. More information can be found at postalmuseum.org.
