More Mk 3s for the Mid-Norfolk

-

Three Mk 3s have been preserved at the Mid-Norfolk Railway although only two will enter traffic.

The railway has taken delivery of Trailer First (TF) 11011 and Trailer Standards (TS) 12047 and 12063. All were bought from Direct Rail Services, which had them stored at Barrow Hill.

Two will return to action (11011 and 12047) while 12063 will be used to house a model railway, due to its condition.

The deal takes the number of Mk 3s preserved at the MNR to five, with Restaurant First Modular 10213 and TS 12022 already at the line.

TS 12047 will be restored to its original seating configuration, but will retain the disabled toilet it was fitted with.
