What will passengers make of it?

Rail (UK) - - Network News -

Passengers and commuters will judge the success of the RDG’s plan through increased capacity, punctuality and value for money, says Transport Focus Chief Executive Anthony Smith.

Speaking at the launch event on October 20, he said that passengers would need to see tangible improvements to their journeys by rail, adding: “They don’t want to catch a vision, they want to catch a train. Any passenger will welcome more palpable evidence of operators working more closely with Network Rail, as fragmentation can be a problem. They will welcome investment and judge it on local delivery. I think there will be some harsh critics out there, and we will do our bit to measure responses through the National Rail Passenger Survey.”
