Mil­lions spent on Ac­cess for All

The Lon­don North East re­gion has spent the most on Ac­cess for All projects since 2014, ac­cord­ing to fig­ures re­leased by Rail Min­is­ter Paul May­nard.

Lil­ian Green­wood (Labour, Not­ting­ham South) had asked in a Com­mons Writ­ten Ques­tion how much had been spent im­prov­ing ac­ces­si­bil­ity of rail­way sta­tions for dis­abled peo­ple.

May­nard broke the fig­ures down, with Lon­don North East spend­ing £20.599 mil­lion, Lon­don North West £15.476m, Scot­land £13.112m, Wes­sex £12.828m, Anglia £11.872m, Wales £6.387m, West­ern £5.583m, Sus­sex £2.196m and East Mid­lands £1.184m.
