First branded Class 385

Rail (UK) - - News - JAMES GARTHWAITE.

Four-car 385103 has started to have Scotland’s Railways livery applied at Newton Aycliffe before it is released for testing north of the border. The Hitachi Rail Europe electric multiple unit (EMU) was one of four Class 385s unveiled at the County Durham site on October 12 ( RAIL 838). Of note, the first class section has a yellow line around the passenger window, rather than the usual yellow stripe, with ‘Express’ branding also having been applied.
