Broad­way: The Glouces­ter­shire War­wick­shire Rail­way is on tar­get to open its north­ern ex­ten­sion on March 30 next year. Track has been laid up to a few yards from the plat­forms, which now have bal­last be­tween them. And the sta­tion roof has most of its cov­er­ing sheets bolted into po­si­tion.

New­bury: Ex­ten­sive de­vel­op­ment on the north side of the sta­tion may re­quire an ad­di­tional foot­bridge. The main struc­ture is to get lifts and dis­abled ac­cess.

Ox­ford: The city coun­cil has unan­i­mously ap­proved an ex­ten­sive re­con­struc­tion of the sta­tion, with a new bus in­ter­change and multi- storey car park. How­ever, the de­sign and plan­ning work, plus a pos­si­ble pub­lic in­quiry, means it could be 2025 be­fore the project is com­plete.

Winch­combe: The Glouces­ter­shire War­wick­shire Rail­way’s new vis­i­tor cen­tre is near­ing com­ple­tion, and will be used for the first time just be­fore Christ­mas.

Yate: The West of Eng­land Com­bined Au­thor­ity pro­poses sta­tion im­prove­ments linked to an up­grade of the A432 road.
