Broadway: The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is on target to open its northern extension on March 30 next year. Track has been laid up to a few yards from the platforms, which now have ballast between them. And the station roof has most of its covering sheets bolted into position.
Newbury: Extensive development on the north side of the station may require an additional footbridge. The main structure is to get lifts and disabled access.
Oxford: The city council has unanimously approved an extensive reconstruction of the station, with a new bus interchange and multi- storey car park. However, the design and planning work, plus a possible public inquiry, means it could be 2025 before the project is complete.
Winchcombe: The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway’s new visitor centre is nearing completion, and will be used for the first time just before Christmas.
Yate: The West of England Combined Authority proposes station improvements linked to an upgrade of the A432 road.
