More Siemens Class 707s arrive in UK
707029 and 707028 are hauled through Tonbridge on October 14, on their way to Clapham Yard. Rail Operations Group used preserved 56301 and UK Rail Leasing 56081 to take the five-car electric multiple units from Dollands Moor. The ‘707s’ are destined for South Western Railway and were built by Siemens in Germany. They follow 707001707012 in being delivered to the UK, which means 14 of the 30 trains ordered are now here.
