No fee if students change tickets

- Boris Johnson · Department for Transport · United Kingdom Department for Transport

Students will not have to pay a fee if they change their tickets for travelling home for the festive period.

After Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on November 23 that the English lockdown would finish as planned on December 2 (to be replaced by a three-Tier system again), the Department for Transport confirmed that students who bought Advance tickets before November 11 for a date of travel after December 9 can now change that ticket during a specific window without paying a fee. Flexible tickets can be changed for no fee anyway.

The window runs from December 3-9 and coincides with the end of winter term.
