Footbridge renewal

The £511,000 project to refurbish the footbridge at Goring-by-Sea is under way. Repairs include renewal of staircase coverings, treads and metalwork, as well as repainting and application of other protective coatings.

‘Great Sock’ appeal

Govia Thameslink Railway launched its Great Sock Appeal on December 1, to help charities supporting homeless people over winter. It wants to beat last year’s total of £8,344, which equates to 4,172 pairs of socks.
