STARTING SINGLES
Just read the BSA B25 ‘shakedown’ story. I have a tip for kickstarting any singles which I got from an old friend who used to race a Gold Star. First put the bike in gear and then rock the bike backwards. This puts the piston just over compression. Select neutral and kick. I have found this works over many years of riding my BSA singles. Great advice, thanks Barry. Alas, our problem isn’t troublesome technique. It’s ignition timing… as you’ll probably discover when you reach this month’s Tales From The Shed! Rowena
