TERROT TEETH

- FrankW

My Terrot HST (seen in RC last July) requires some dental work. Both the engine sprocket and the clutch drum have teeth that are very hooked. No blame attached after 87 years! Would you be able to recommend anyone who could turn off the existing teeth on both sprockets and shrink/weld on suitable toothed rings? I know that this sounds convoluted, but the chance of finding a new engine sprocket and clutch drum is pretty remote.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Andrew Tucker, member 5250

I can’t recommend anyone because I’ve never had a sprocket re-toothed. There are several people advertising, including sprocketsunlimited.com, who seem to be well regarded. Does anyone else have personal experience of a suitable sprocket / machining expert?
