Work up a sweat if you want to stave off dementia. A trip to a sauna could help, according to a study by the University of Eastern Finland, which found that people who heated up at a sauna seven times a week were 66 per cent less likely to be diagnosed with the condition than those who only did once a week. Tucking into a hot curry once a week could also be crucial, say Australian scientists who found that curcumin, a chemical found in turmeric, blocks rogue proteins that damage brain cells.
