Time is money
Some years ago, I inherited this clock from my mother. It’s 14½in tall and 12in wide, with a depth of 5½in. I’d be grateful for any light you could shed upon it.

■ Judging by the case, the clock dates from the early 1900s. I’d imagine it has a German movement that strikes with a wire gong. Similar clocks sell for £50.
