Red - - CAREERS -

Sometimes we are so wrapped up in our day-to-day lives that we don’t take time to self-assess, to step outside of ourselves and ask the questions, ‘Am I happy?’ or ‘Am I on the right track?’ Sometimes you need clarity and a moment to yourself to realise, ‘This is not the right career path for me, I need to make a change.’ How do you know it’s time for a change? Maria Hatzistefanis, founder and CEO of Rodial, believes you should ask yourself the following questions:

Do you enjoy going to work every day?

Do you like your co-workers and boss?

Are you passionate about the industry you’re currently in?

Are you proud to work for your company?

Does your current job fulfil you?

Do you ever daydream about doing another job?

Are you envious of people with different careers to yours?

Do you dislike your job but fear making a change?

Are you unhappy with your job but you can’t get the same salary anywhere else?

Do you take a lot of sick days as you can’t bear going to the office? If you answer mostly NO to questions 1-5 and YES to questions 6-10, you really need to think about taking some action.
