FOLLOW YOUR SOUL, EVEN AT WORK (ESPECIALLY AT WORK)

Red - - SELF - JODY SHIELD, MEDITATION TEACHER, SPEAKER AND INTUITIVE COACH

“There are so many inspiring women starting businesses and following their dreams. This is truly the age of the entrepreneur. Coupled with that, there’s a new way of working that I call soulful or in line with your values that really helps bring ideas to reality.”

1) TUNE IN. Take time to really ‘tune’ into your new ideas, creative projects or decisions. Take a notebook and pen and put the title of whatever it is at the top of the page. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths and imagine bringing the idea (or project) into your heart. Imagine yourself tuning into it, like a radio station. Notice how it feels to you. What colours come to you, or textures? Now allow yourself to free write (don’t think!). See what insight comes about the idea and how to move it forward.

2) FUEL UP. Keep your soul stimulated and energised through regular inspiration. What lights you up?

What excites you? What turns you on in life? Do it once a week. The time you invest in this will ultimately double your productivity. Your creativity and insight will flow much easier. 3) SLOW DOWN TO SPEED UP. It’s easy to speed up when we act from a place of fear of missing something, or fear of running out of time or fear of losing money. But when we slow down, the ideas have space to form in the best way, and there is breathing space to see things clearly and understand the energy of the idea more.
