‘I’d be godmother to Ferne’s baby!’
Newly engaged Vicky Pattison, 29, chats about pal Ferne McCann’s pregnancy, plus plans to wed fiancé John Noble…
F ormer Loose Women panellist Vicky Pattison has just announced her engagement to businessman John Noble.
Despite finding The One, Vicky tells us she won’t be starting a family any time soon. However, she’s happy to offer her baby-sitting services to BFF Ferne McCann, 26, who’s 23 weeks pregnant with her first child by her ex, Arthur Collins.
‘I’d love to be godmother to Ferne’s baby!’ Vicky tells us at the launch of her body-confidence campaign for lingerie brand Ann Summers.
A baby might not be on the cards, but the reality-TV star is looking forward to settling down with John – who she rekindled her romance with in September – and couldn’t be happier at the thought of becoming Mrs Noble…
CONGRATS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT! WAS THE PROPOSAL A COMPLETE SURPRISE?
Yes, but it was done so perfectly. John proposed up north, during a morning walk with his dog, Roxie, and it was really romantic.
WHEN WILL YOU START WEDDING PLANNING?
Blimey, not quite yet! I’m going to enjoy this time for now. I’m still buzzing, and keep looking at my hand to check my ring is still there! I’ve got a permanent smile on my face and it’s the best feeling ever.
NOW YOU’RE ENGAGED, HAVE YOU AND JOHN THOUGHT ABOUT MOVING IN TOGETHER?
Absolutely – we definitely will but, with work being so busy, we still need time to work out our plans. Everyone thinks I’m a bit keen, but 10 months [together] is a long time and we’re engaged now. I think fate brought us back together.
DID YOU LEAVE GEORDIE SHORE TO FIND LOVE?
On shows like TOWIE or Made In Chelsea, you’re stronger in a relationship, but in
G-Shore, that’s not the case. You fall by the wayside, because you’re not creating chaos. It’s very difficult in that house, as all the failed relationships prove. But I didn’t leave [in 2014] to find love – I left to pursue my career. What I wanted wasn’t going to come from being there, so I got out and it just so happened that I met someone.
WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF CHARLOTTE CROSBY DATING YOUR EX, STEPHEN BEAR?
I just think it’s dead nice everyone’s happy.
HAVE YOU SEEN FERNE RECENTLY?
We’re planning to go for brunch soon, but I saw her a few weeks ago and she looked stunning – she’s all bump, and positively glowing. Pregnancy really suits her. This is just the start of things to come – she’s going to be an amazing mum.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE GODMOTHER?
One hundred and ten per cent. I think that’s an honour she should give to her siblings but, if she asked me, I’d take my responsibilities very seriously.
WHAT TYPE OF GODMOTHER WOULD YOU BE?
A cool one. I want to be the rich auntie who spoils the kid – the inappropriate, drunk one with loads of dogs!
ARE YOU EXCITED TO TURN 30 IN NOVEMBER?
I’m in no rush! I do worry about getting
