Some­thing-new Satur­day

Week­ends of­ten give us a lit­tle more time to get creative in the kitchen, so try some­thing new this Satur­day!

BREAK­FAST Bub­ble and squeak grill: Boil 2-3 peeled and chopped floury pota­toes for 12-15 mins, adding some finely shred­ded green cab­bage for the fi­nal 3-4 mins. Drain, mash and then leave to cool. Mix in an egg and some sliced spring onions. Shape into a patty, then cover and chill. Spray a fry­ing pan with low-calo­rie cook­ing spray and place over a high heat. Fry patty for 2-3 mins on each side or un­til golden. Serve with grilled lean ba­con rash­ers (all vis­i­ble fat re­moved) and a poached egg.

LUNCH Cray­fish salad: Pick up a Cray­fish & Mango Salad with a Co­conut, Lime & Chilli Dress­ing from Aldi and serve with 4 Ryvita Orig­i­nal Crisp­breads spread with 75g Philadel­phia Light Soft Cheese (from your al­lowance). Fol­low with some fresh fruit topped with fat-free nat­u­ral yo­ghurt.
