Yes! Scrub­bing the floor, clean­ing the toi­lets and push­ing a hoover around is as good as go­ing to the gym. The aim is to try to do 150 min­utes of mod­er­ate ac­tiv­ity each week to cut your risk of heart dis­ease or stroke. No­body wants to do that much house­work, and the health­i­est peo­ple com­bine ex­er­cise from daily chores with walk­ing or cy­cling out­doors, or play­ing sport. And a re­cent, very large, study found that it didn’t mat­ter what ex­er­cise or ac­tiv­ity you were do­ing, if it made you sweaty and a bit breath­less, it was do­ing you some good. And yes, that in­cludes sex and mas­tur­ba­tion!
